Three Cups of Tea

I'm back from vacation - we went to see my sister Jen and her family in New Hampshire. It was lovely lovely lovely and thought provoking, as always. On the way home I became immersed in an incredible tale of what one person can do to effect change in the world. The book, Three Cups of Tea, is about a guy who makes a promise to bring a school to a hidden tribe of people in Pakistan.

"Three Cups of Tea is one of the most remarkable adventure stories of our time. Greg Mortenson's dangerous and difficult quest to build schools in the wildest parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan is not only a thrilling read, it's proof that one ordinary person, with the right combination of character and determination, really can change the world."
-Tom Brokaw

I came away with the thought that even I can bring good to the world, one small act of kindness at a time.

I love your work and the only reason I haven't bought a piece yet is that I can't decide which one. =D I chose your blog to *tag* (this will make sense if you check out my blog).

I'm going to check out "Three Cups of Tea." I need a summer read. Thanks!
